Philippines Typhoon Casualties Dumped In A Ditch

Workers in Tacloban, Philippines had the gruesome task  of discarding several hundred dead bodies scattered everywhere.  After one of the strongest typhoons ever, the town is overwhelmed with grief, shock,  and a corpse collage. To prevent survivors from being drenched in sickness and disease, the city’s main priority, is to bury the dead as soon as possible.  Most families will never know for certain what happened to their loved ones.

Several more hundred dead bodies cover the streets, and are trapped in rubble.  “Our fear,” according to Rev. Javier Cortes in Apatzingan, “is when the army leaves, what will happen then?”
