Pop singer Taylor Swift revealed that she has an extreme fear of black people. A source close to the 24-year-old singer said she has been seeking counseling for the condition with the hope that she recovers from it.
The source stated Swift has always had a slight fear of black people, but it reached its pinnacle after her run-in with Kanye West in 2009. When Kanye West rushed the stage during her acceptance speech for Best Female Video at the MTV Video Music Awards, she believed she was going to be attacked. Though Kanye did not inflict any physical pain on her, the ordeal left her with an emotional scar that festered into a fear of being accosted by black men.
Taylor Swift has taken the stage with various rappers since the ordeal with Kanye, such as T.I. and B.o.B., but that fear remained present. Swift said the condition has grown and is beginning to affect her financially and emotionally.
