Trinity Bachamann sulking in the middle of road in argument with her mom over sitting in the front seat is hit and killed by Drunk driver

An Apopka Memorial Middle School student was killed by a car Saturday night as she sat in the road after an argument with family.

Apopka police say 13-year-old Trinity Bachmann was angry about who would get to sit in the front seat for the ride home from a friend’s house.

“Whatever they were arguing about could not have been that important,” Apopka police Capt. Randy Fernandez said.

Trinity’s mother, Janice Pedroza, 36, who was driving her daughter and a group of friends home from the Central Florida Fair in Orlando, dropped off one of the friends, and then her daughter began quarreling about the seating arrangement in the car, according to a police report.

The girl announced she was going to walk home, which was about 3 miles away.

Trinity, who was wearing dark clothing, walked away from the car but then sat down on North Christiana Avenue near Oak Street, a dimly lit stretch of road about a mile from the intersection of State Road 436 and U.S. Highway 441. Her mother stopped the car and pleaded with her daughter to get off the roadway and back into the car, but the teen refused, according to police. LATimes has the video.
