Oklahoma State Player, Tyrek Coger, Passes Away at 21 After Team Workouts – blogged by @niksofly #TyrekCoger has passed away at the tender age of 21. Coger was rushed to Stillwater Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 6:23 pm. The 6'9 #OklahomaStateUniversity forward collapsed after a team work out on Thursday. Coger , a native of Raleigh, NC recently transferred from Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington (NC) to #OSU. He arrived July 5. Tyrek was at the university only 16 days before his untimely passing. According to Coger's social media he was excited to be in Oklahoma and loved every opportunity in his life. Grieving their loss, the #OklahomaState #Cowboys issued the following statement , "Tyrek was excited to be at Oklahoma State and had such passion for the game and was looking forward to being an OSU Cowboy. Losing a member of the team is like losing a member of the family. But we know our loss pales in comparison to the pain his family is going through."
