Jussie Smollet aka the boy that cried wolf- was indicted on 16 felony counts. The prosecutors are trying to make an example out of him. Each of the 16 felonies carry a mandatory sentence of 1 to 4 years. They feel like since he’s labeled himself the “Gay Tupac,” they will treat him as such.
He is in deep trouble after staging his own racial,homophobic, political mugging. He broke the first rule when he wrote the Nigerians a check. It was a fee to rob him. He tried disguising the payment using Personal Training. When the FBI rolled up on them, they started singing like K-Ci and JoJo! Social media cracked the case before authorities.
Now Jussie is facing life in jail, and he’s officially unemployed too! Brett Mahoney told EW:
“It was a very difficult decision, but I think in terms of allowing the cast and the crew to really get the work done without a great deal of disruption in terms of the day-to-day and the stress of the day-to-day, and, in addition, allowing Jussie the time to really deal with what he’s been confronted with and allow him the time to focus and prepare his case, this seems like the logical decision to make.”
